It seems like there’s a good chunk of the populace that wants the Blu-Ray movie format to fail, specifically many of those wishing it’s demise are gamers. Why? As a PS3 owner who has a HDTV, Blu-Ray is the greatest thing since the advent of DVDs. The picture quality is worth the plunge into Blu-Ray and I can’t understand the hatred directed towards the format. I’ve compiled five arguments against Blu-Ray and have my answers to them.
1. Price: The average price of a Blu-Ray is 30 bucks, quite a bit more than a DVD. However, this is becoming less of an issue all the time. Wal-Mart now has a small selection of Blu-Rays that are around 15 bucks at regular price, and if you are thrifty you can often find sales on Blu-Ray movies on sites like Amazon.
